Say Hello to New Cans
Now that Fat Point has been around for four years, we can say we’ve spoken with countless Punta Gorda locals and visitors in our taproom. From these conversations, a common theme arose: a great love for our coastal hometown and the surrounding area.
So we set out to create a lineup of cans (and beer) that embodied everything you love about Punta Gorda and harborside living — and we’re pretty sure we did just that.
Introducing our new core lineup of Big Boca Ale, Hoppin’ Harbor Tropical Pale Ale and Cape Haze Fruited Wheat in 16-oz. stackable matte cans and four-pack boxes. From the beachy design elements to the addition of a couple of tropical and fruity brews, everything we did was inspired by the Punta Gorda lifestyle. Plus, each can includes a special nod to the area and locals alike, which you can discover by reading the “Tall Tale” on each can.
We will also be releasing three seasonal beers available in package this year. If you’re not following us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, make sure you follow to get real-time updates on new releases! And when you snap a photo of your new favorite stackable cans, tag us and use the hashtag #FatPointStacks so we can feature it on our pages.
These new core cans will be available in the taproom and distribution beginning in April. Also, keep an eye out for the launch of our new website next month with a handy tool to show where you can find our cans throughout the state of Florida!
Punta Gorda –literally “Fat Point” –is the area where the pristine waters of Peace River and Gasparilla Sound meet. Fat Point Brewing is a favorite among locals in Punta Gorda with its flavorful and original beers inspired by this magnificent region of Southwest Florida.
Fat Point Brewing is Charlotte County’s first craft brewery, producing fresh, local and hand-crafted beers. Its critically acclaimed beers include Bru Man Chu Belgian Trippel and Big Boca Ale, which won a gold medal in the U.S. Open Beer Championship and bronze medal at the Best Florida Beer Championships, respectively. In 2019, Bru Man Chu won a gold medal again and Ryeght Angle a silver medal in the Best Florida Beer competition.
